Where it holds the line

Standard lip seals are rated for almost no pressure, but the shaft of a hydraulic pump or motor often sees several bar of casing pressure. This reinforced rotary oil seal answers that duty: a shorter, stiffer lip backed by the case geometry holds the lip profile against pressure that would evert an ordinary seal, while still rotating freely and retaining oil. It is the right seal for hydraulic gear and vane pumps, motors and powered transmissions running under standing pressure.
