Robust clog-resistant pump sealSingle Spring Seals
A conical single-coil mechanical seal whose large open spring resists clogging, ideal for dirty, viscous and general-service pumps.

Engineered to prevent leaks
Single, multi-spring, balanced and cartridge mechanical seals that replace packing on pumps and mixers for near-zero emissions and long MTBF.

Where leakage limits, emissions rules or product purity rule out packing, a mechanical seal is the answer — and SealGuard builds them around your pump, not a generic frame. Lapped seal faces in carbon, silicon carbide or tungsten carbide run on a precise hydraulic film; balanced designs handle higher pressures and speeds; and pre-set cartridge units drop in without setting measurements or operator guesswork. The payoff is dramatically lower fugitive emissions, longer mean time between repairs and predictable, plannable maintenance.

Robust clog-resistant pump sealA conical single-coil mechanical seal whose large open spring resists clogging, ideal for dirty, viscous and general-service pumps.
Compact even-load process sealA multi-spring mechanical seal delivering uniform face load in a short axial envelope for clean process pumps and tight seal chambers.
Pre-set drop-in seal assemblyA fully pre-assembled, pre-set cartridge seal that fits without setting measurements — slashing change-out time and installation error.
High-pressure high-speed face sealA pressure-balanced mechanical seal that reduces face load and heat generation for high-pressure, high-speed and volatile-liquid duty.
OEM rotary & stationary componentsIndividually supplied rotary and stationary seal components for OEM assembly and economical like-for-like replacement.
Field-tested guidance from our engineers on specifying mechanical seals for demanding service.
Specify cartridge seals where setting accuracy and fast change-out drive uptime — no field measurement required.
Select balanced designs once seal-chamber pressure rises beyond the limit of an unbalanced single-spring seal.
Pair silicon-carbide faces for abrasive or marginal-lubrication duty; carbon vs SiC suits clean services.
Confirm elastomer compatibility (FKM, EPDM or FFKM) against the pumped medium and temperature.
A reliability problem in the field, closed at the joint — and the numbers that followed.
Case StudyAn aggressive acid-transfer service was destroying pump seals roughly every six weeks. Each failure meant an emergency strip-down, lost batch time and a growing reliability backlog across a bank of duty/standby pumps.
We replaced the component seals with balanced cartridge mechanical seals running silicon-carbide faces and PTFE-encapsulated secondary seals, plus a flush plan matched to the duty. The cartridge format removed setting error on rebuild and gave the technicians a repeatable installation.
Mean time between failures moved from six weeks to over twelve months on the lead pumps, and mean time to repair dropped because the cartridge drops straight in. The site redeployed the maintenance hours it used to spend rebuilding seals.
Send us your service conditions — media, temperature, pressure and motion — and our engineers will specify the seal that holds the line.
