About SealGuard

We engineer the
joint that holds.

SealGuard is a sealing-solutions manufacturer built on a single conviction: a leak is an engineering failure, not an accident. For more than two decades we have specified, machined and validated the gaskets, mechanical seals, packing and elastomers that keep the world’s most demanding plant tight.

Our story

Built by people who
hate a leak.

We started in a single fabrication bay with a hard truth taped to the wall: every leak begins as a compromise someone made at the joint. A finish left rough. A load left to chance. A material chosen because it was on hand rather than because it was right.

So we made the joint our discipline. We learned how a gasket seats, how a seal face wears, how an elastomer ages in the media it lives in — and we wrote that knowledge into a specification process rather than a sales pitch. Where others quote a part number, we quote a service condition: media, temperature, pressure and motion, answered with the seal that holds.

Two decades on, that conviction is unchanged. SealGuard supplies critical sealing components to operators and OEMs across more than thirty countries — and we still treat a leak as the one outcome we refuse to ship.

  1. 1998

    Founded on the Gulf Coast

SealGuard begins as a gasket fabricator serving refineries that could not afford an unplanned shutdown — and would not accept one.

  2. 2004

    Materials laboratory

A dedicated lab brings compound development and leak testing in-house, and the spiral-wound and kammprofile lines come online.

  3. 2009

    Qualified for wellhead service

API 6A and the Q1 quality program open the door to surface and wellhead sealing, where the margin for error is effectively zero.

  4. 2014

    A complete sealing program

Mechanical seals and precision elastomers join the catalog; PED/CE and ATEX scope extend the envelope into pressure and hazardous-area duty.

  5. 2019

    Engineered-to-order selection

Past thirty countries served, SealGuard formalises an engineering-led selection service — the right seal specified to the application, not the shelf.

  6. 2024

    Traceability, end to end

A digital datasheet and lot-traceability platform ties every shipped seal back to its mill certificate, test record and service conditions.

What we stand on

Four commitments, engineered in.

Every seal we ship answers to the same four standards. On the About page, here is exactly what each one means on the bench.

01 / 04

Zero Leakage

Engineered sealing geometry and material science that hold the line — joint after joint, cycle after cycle.

Contact-stress geometry is modelled before it is machined, then proven on the bench with helium leak testing. Seating loads, surface finishes and recovery are specified to the joint — never assumed from a catalog.

He leak ≤ 1×10⁻⁶ mbar·l/s
02 / 04

High Performance

Specified for cryogenic to incandescent service and pressures that flatten lesser seals.

Grades are qualified across the real envelope — from −200°C cryogenic service to +650°C flame paths, and pressure classes through PN250 / Class 2500. We match the seal to the duty rather than overstate it.

−200°C → +650°C

Reliable & Durable

Long service intervals and predictable wear — uptime you can build a maintenance plan around.

Wear, compression set and chemical ageing are characterised so service intervals are predictable, not hopeful. Every seal is engineered to outlast the maintenance window it sits inside.

Manufacturing & quality

From mill certificate to a leak-free joint.

Quality at SealGuard is a process, not a promise. Four controlled stages take a service condition and turn it into a seal you can trust under load.

  1. 01

    Material science & sourcing

Every grade is selected for the service, then sourced against a mill certificate so the metal, elastomer or PTFE is traceable from billet to finished seal.

  2. 02

    Precision manufacturing

CNC machining, controlled winding and tooled moulding hold the dimensional tolerances and surface finishes that decide whether a joint seats or seeps.

  3. 03

    Inspection & traceability

Documented dimensional and visual inspection on every order, with full lot traceability — so a seal in service can always be tied back to its record.

  4. 04

    Validation & testing

Leak, pressure, hardness and ageing tests run against the specified service conditions. Nothing leaves qualified that has not been proven first.

Quality assurance

Tested against the conditions it will live in.

A datasheet is only as good as the bench behind it. Critical characteristics are verified to recognised standards and recorded against the lot — so the performance we publish is the performance we have measured.

Test scope is matched to the application; certificates of conformance are available on request.
