Where it holds the line

Some rotating equipment runs with significant standing pressure in the seal cavity, well beyond what any standard lip can hold. The high-pressure oil seal answers that with a short, heavily supported lip — fabric-reinforced and backed against the case so it resists extrusion and eversion at pressures up to the high single digits of bar. PTFE-faced variants add dry-running tolerance and very low friction. It is the seal for hydraulic motors, high-pressure gearboxes and swivels where ordinary lip seals are simply blown out.
