Where it holds the line

The PTFE-encapsulated O-ring solves the hardest sealing problem: a medium that attacks every elastomer but a groove that still needs spring-back. A resilient silicone or FKM core provides the elastic memory, while a seamless FEP or PFA jacket gives the ring the near-universal chemical resistance and low friction of fluoropolymer. The result is a single ring that seals aggressive acids, caustics, solvents and high-purity media across a very wide temperature range — where neither a plain elastomer nor a solid PTFE ring could cope.
