Where it holds the line

PTFE gland packing is the clean, low-friction choice for chemical and food-service shafts. Braided from pure PTFE yarn with the corners reinforced for dimensional stability, it resists almost the entire chemical range, runs cool against the shaft and won't contaminate the product. Non-staining and FDA-compliant grades make it equally at home on hygienic pumps and aggressive acid valves, giving long, low-maintenance service where graphite or fibre packings would be unsuitable.
