Where it holds the line

PTFE-graphite packing brings together the best of both worlds for rotary pumps: the low friction and chemical resistance of PTFE with the thermal conductivity of graphite that carries frictional heat away from the shaft. Each filament is impregnated so the braid runs cool at speed, resists glazing and protects the shaft sleeve from scoring. It is the all-rounder for general process pumps where a single packing has to handle a wide range of clean and mildly aggressive media at higher surface speeds.
