Graphite Sheets

High-temperature flexible graphite

Reinforced flexible-graphite sheet that seals to +650°C in steam, holding the line where fibre and elastomer jointing break down.

  • Seals to +650°C in steam and oxidising service
  • 316 SS tanged or adhesive insert for strength and blow-out resistance
  • Conforms to imperfect flange faces under load
  • Resistant across virtually the entire pH range
  • Low creep and excellent hot-load retention

In ServiceUSE

Where it holds the line

Flexible graphite is the material of choice for high-temperature jointing, sealing reliably in steam and oxidising service well beyond the limit of any fibre or elastomer sheet. A tanged or adhesive 316 stainless insert gives the sheet the handling strength and blow-out resistance it needs for fabrication and high-pressure flanges, while the graphite itself conforms to surface imperfections under load and resists almost the entire chemical range. It is the dependable answer for boiler, turbine and thermal-fluid flanges.

Typical applications

  • 01High-temperature steam and boiler flanges
  • 02Turbine and thermal-fluid systems
  • 03Heat exchanger and economiser covers
  • 04Exhaust and flue-gas joints
  • 05High-pressure hydrocarbon service
