Cork Sheets

Conformable cork-rubber jointing

Cork-rubber composite sheet that conforms under low clamping load to seal oils and fuels on covers, pans and transformer joints.

  • High compressibility conforms to thin, flexible covers
  • Good resistance to oils, fuels and lubricants
  • Recovers well after compression cycles
  • Seals reliably at low bolt load
  • Easy to cut and handle on the bench

Where it holds the line

Cork-rubber composite seals where pressure is low and bolt load is limited — sump pans, gearbox covers, transformer lids and equipment housings. Granulated cork bound in nitrile rubber gives the sheet high compressibility so it conforms to thin, flexible covers without crushing, plus good resistance to oils and fuels and a natural ability to recover after cycling. It is the economical, reliable choice for low-pressure oil-sealing joints across automotive, electrical and general engineering.

Typical applications

  • 01Sump, oil-pan and gearbox covers
  • 02Transformer and electrical-enclosure lids
  • 03Compressor and pump housing joints
  • 04Fuel-system and filter gaskets
  • 05General low-pressure equipment covers
