Where it holds the line

The spiral-wound gasket is the default choice for critical flanges because it does what flat gaskets can't — it springs back. Alternating plies of preformed 316L stainless and soft filler form a controlled-recovery element that tracks bolt relaxation and thermal movement without losing seating stress, while inner and outer guide rings centre the gasket and stop over-compression and blow-out. Colour-coded to ASME B16.20 for instant identification, it delivers a dependable seal on everything from steam headers to high-pressure hydrocarbon pipework.
