PTFE Gaskets

Universal chemical-resistant flange seal

Virgin, filled and expanded PTFE gaskets offering near-universal chemical resistance and high purity for the most aggressive flange duties.

  • Near-universal chemical resistance across pH 0–14
  • Chemically inert and non-contaminating for high-purity duty
  • ePTFE conforms to glass-lined, GRP and warped flanges
  • Filled grades resist cold-flow and creep under load
  • FDA and USP Class VI compliant grades available

Where it holds the line

When the process chemistry rules out fibre and graphite, PTFE seals where nothing else will. SealGuard PTFE gaskets resist virtually the entire pH range and the most aggressive acids, caustics and solvents while staying chemically inert and contamination-free for high-purity duty. Expanded-PTFE (ePTFE) forms conform to irregular and glass-lined flanges under modest bolt load, while filled grades add creep resistance for higher pressures — giving the chemical and pharmaceutical plant a single, trusted sealing material for its hardest joints.

Typical applications

  • 01Aggressive acid and caustic process lines
  • 02Glass-lined reactor and vessel flanges
  • 03High-purity pharmaceutical and fine-chemical duty
  • 04Chlorine, solvent and oxidiser service
  • 05Food and beverage hygienic joints
