Where it holds the line

EPDM is the specialist's choice for water, steam and the outdoors. It resists hot water and low-pressure steam, brake fluids, ketones, weathering, ozone and UV exceptionally well, which makes it the standard ring for potable-water systems, HVAC, heating circuits and outdoor equipment. The one hard rule is chemical: EPDM swells badly in petroleum oils and fuels, so it must never be specified where mineral oil is present. WRAS-approved grades suit potable-water duty directly.

Typical applications

  • 01Potable and hot-water systems
  • 02Heating, HVAC and steam (low pressure)
  • 03Outdoor and weather-exposed equipment
  • 04Brake and hydraulic (glycol) systems
  • 05Water-treatment and sanitary fittings
